Service Description

As you and your guide take the day to journey across three capes, we weave mantras of renewal, salt‑air blessings of purification, and meditations on the the vastness of the human experience. Each landscape becomes a teacher: Cape Meares whispers resilience, Cape Lookout embodies bold endurance, and Cape Kiwanda reveals the beauty of impermanence. Together, they form a living temple where ceremony, reflection, and connection to the divine are amplified by the land itself. Along each of three hikes, we'll guide you through intentional activities that transform the journey into ceremony. You may pause to practice guided breathwork at scenic overlooks, and have opportunities to sit in stillness and reflect through journaling. Perched on 200‑foot cliffs above Tillamook Bay, Cape Meares is home to the historic Cape Meares Lighthouse, built in 1890. It is also renowned for the Octopus Tree, an ancient Sitka spruce whose unusual shape is believed to have been used by Indigenous peoples for ceremonial purposes. Offshore, Pillar and Pyramid Rocks host seabird colonies, while migrating gray whales can often be spotted from the viewpoints. Walking here connects you to both the resilience of the land and the ancestral wisdom carried in its trees and cliffs. Stretching more than 1.5 miles into the Pacific Ocean, Cape Lookout is a dramatic basalt headland formed by lava flows nearly 16 million years ago. Its sheer cliffs drop 400 feet to the waves below, and the Cape Lookout Trail offers a 5‑mile round‑trip hike along its forested ridge, with panoramic views at the tip. This cape is one of the best places on the Oregon Coast for whale watching. The rugged beauty of Cape Lookout invites contemplation of endurance, vastness, and the wild power of the sea. The southernmost of the three, Cape Kiwanda is a sandstone headland in Pacific City, crowned by a towering dune that overlooks the ocean. Offshore lies Chief Kiwanda Rock, one of Oregon’s three “Haystack Rocks,” a basalt sea stack that protects the cape from erosion. The constantly shifting sandstone cliffs embody impermanence, reminding visitors of nature’s ongoing cycles of creation and dissolution. From its viewpoints, you can watch seabirds wheel overhead, and waves sculpt the fragile rock in real time. Combined these guided hikes create a sacred journey that will awaken to your infinite connection with the earth and sea.
